Why was it important for future colonists that Jamestown Had Succeeded?PLEASE HELP ASAP

Jamestown succeeded because John smith made a rule saying...
You don't work you don't eat. This rule helped because everyone worked at getting Jamestown established. This made Jamestown establish quicker. Everyone worked together and made a big impact on Jamestown. Also Tobacco helped Jamestown. Even Know it is a harmful drug it still saved Jamestown. It saved Jamestown because it was a cash crop that didn't grow in Europe. This mean't people from Europe would buy this so called tobacco. Jamestown got a lot of money from Tobacco and bought a lot of really use full things to keep the town running. And this is why I think Jamestown was successful.
