The main difference between the internal combustion engine and the diesel engine is that the diesel
engine
A. does not have a crankshaft.
B. has no connecting rods.
C. does not utilize pistons.
D. has no ignition system.
The diesel engine has no ignition system. It ignites the fuel just by compressing it. I think this is why, to me, a diesel engine always sounds like it's falling apart.
